Okell and Son Limited, our award winning brewery has been producing the finest ales for over 150 years. All our beers are brewed in accordance with the Island’s famous Brewing Purity Laws which similar to the Bavarian Beer Laws, forbid the use of any additives as a substitute for the natural brewing ingredients of malt, sugar and hops.

Dr Mike Cowbourne, the head brewer, is passionate about producing handcrafted beers using traditional techniques that have been handed down through generations of Manx brewers. Tradition is however blended with the high technology of our scientific laboratory and brewery, to ensure the highest standards of quality are consistently achieved.

We are famous for our mild and bitter, but more recently have produced a wide range of seasonal and special ales designed to reflect our ancient Celtic heritage. Demand for our new and traditional brands has lead to a popular following throughout Europe.
